What’s new in Suzie’s Kitchen?

Hello there

I hope you all had a great Easter Holiday! There are some busy times ahead for Suzie’s Kitchen but I do have a schedule ready for half term which will be upon as before we realise it!

Cookery School Dates

I’m now booking Half Term Cookery Classes for:

Wednesday 31st May 1:00 – 3:00 Creative Cooks – 3 spaces left

In this class we will be tackling some more adventurous cookery. We will be making some things from the following range:

  • Herb and feta cheese pies
  • Falafel scotch eggs
  • Mediterranean pic-nic loaf
  • Summer Berry Tarts
  • Summer meadow cupcakes

Thursday 1st June 2:00  – 4:00 Bella Italia

Back by popular demand! We will be making pizzas, garlic butter dough balls and Mozzarella cheesecake with berry sauce.

Friday 2nd June 10:30 – 12:30 Summer Picnic – Fully Booked

In this class we will prepare a summery picnic and the timing will be perfect for you to collect your mini chef and go to the park for a lovely picnic lunch. We’ll be making:

  • Fruit punch
  • Sweet chilli sausage rolls
  • Potato salad
  • Blueberry muffins
  • Popcorn bags
  • Strawberry and cucumber salad

£25:00 per child

I am also available to cater for party / children’s party food.  I would be delighted to cater for your next special occasion, party or dinner party. Please get in touch if you’d like to discuss your needs or to make a booking.

Here’s an example of food I could provide as children’s party platters or if you’d prefer individual food boxes I can provide them too. If there is a special theme to the party I can adapt the menu  and can also cater for any specific dietary requirements.

Prices would be £4.50 per child for platters to share or £4.95 for individual boxes.  You could choose from any of the options below.

Mini homemade beef burgers, BBQ chicken drumsticks, Chicken or fish goujons, Ham & Cheese sandwiches, Homemade sausage rolls, Mini hot-dogs

Vegetable sticks with homemade hummus, Fun salad, Little pots of berries, Salted or Sweet popcorn, Crisps, Fruit jelly cups, Yogurt pots with fruit & honey

Chocolate brownies, Homemade flapjacks, Blueberry muffins, Chocolate marshmallow sticks, Mini fairy cakes, Chocolate cookies, Rainbow fruit kebabs with chocolate sauce.

Wedding Cakes

I am able to make wedding cakes and I am really very happy when I get a booking to share in someone’s very special day. It is lovely to see people recommending me on social media (thank you).

If you are interested in ordering a wedding cake I would suggest  that the ideal way to plan your wedding cake is to begin with a consultation and tasting session and I can provide up to 4 flavours of cake to sample.

Appointments are made at a time that suits you  in the day/ evenings/ weekend whichever you prefer. Ideally they will take place in my kitchen or your home and would last about an hour. Do please bring with you anything that may have inspired you – pictures, your wedding invitations, fabric/ colour swatches or photos of the dress and flowers.  After the consultation I will email you the final quote for the design ideas discussed (quotes could vary slightly depending on intricacy of the cake you decided upon) and give you time and space to decide whether you’d like to proceed with the order.

A 50% non-refundable deposit is required to confirm all orders and the remaining balance is payable 1 week before delivery/ collection.

Payment can be made by cash, bank transfer or cheque. If paying by cheque or bank transfer, the payment must have cleared before the cake is delivered or collected.

I am a firm believer that to achieve the best tasting cakes, the best quality ingredients have to be used.

I use those produced local and organic and fairtrade products wherever possible.

Some of the lovely ingredients I use include:

Free range eggs from local farms

Organic flours

Organic or homemade preserves

Dried vine fruits that do not contain sulphites

Finest Belgian chocolate/ organic cocoa
