Spring is on the way and we can wave goodbye to Storm Doris! I hope she didn’t cause you too much havoc! So good to see some blue skies! I treated myself to a flower workshop run by a friend and made myself a twiggy heart which is now hanging outside my house!
The last few months have been very busy in the kitchen and I want to start this newsletter with a great big thank you for your business and an equally big one for reading my blog! It has been a real pleasure to serve you all and teach your children to cook in my home. I look forward to serving you in the future. Don’t forget that I can cook for your parties, provide meals, bake cakes as well as teach on a 1:1 and in groups, privately in your home or in my home.
My days are not just filled with food, cooking, yummy smells and the like. There’s the boring stuff like paperwork and planning.
February half-term was really busy and there was lots of fun (and chocolate) in the kitchen. I love that your budding Jamie Oliver’s or Mary Berry’s come along and make, bake and create and release their inner chefs! Each session we get to explore a range of exciting ingredients and take our culinary skills to the limit; learning to make lots of tasty food items to take home whilst having some fun along the way.
Some things we have made:
- White Chocolate and Malteser Cheese Cake
- Totally Scrummy Pizza
- Irish Soda Bread
- Vegetable Samosas – including the pastry!
- Chick Pea Curry
- Ginger Cake
- Double Chocolate chip cookies
I have spent the last week or so resting! And thinking up new things! I am enjoying planning some Easter sessions and trying out the very yummy recipes.
A bit of exciting news, I have been contacted by the producer of Sue Davies’ weekend mid-morning programme and as they are looking for a new contributor for ‘Taste of Wiltshire’ which is either published authors or food bloggers from the county sharing six original recipes. I am going to go ahead with this once I’ve recovered from my cold!
I am excited to announce that I will be holding a workshop for children in time to create something lovely for Mothering Sunday.
I look forward to welcoming your child (or you!) to learn how to make their very own box of chocolates which will be as good as any professional chocolatiers (well, maybe a little messier!)
2:30pm Saturday 25th March
This workshop will last around 2 and a half hours
The cost is £20 per person. This includes refreshments and all the ingredients and materials you need to create a box of chocolates (3 different types).
The workshop is limited to 6 and places can only be held once full payment is received. If you have any questions or you would like to book your place please get in touch either by replying to this email, or ring Suzie on 07887359879..
Remember I will be advertising this to the general public from Saturday Morning.
I look forward to welcoming you and seeing your beautiful creations.
Wishing you sunny Spring days!
Bye for now
