Get creative during these workshops, run as a one off or a course. We will take you step-by-step through everything you need to know about the subject whilst you get hands-on! Prices include all ingredients, packaging and equipment. These classes are suitable for ages 16+.

Sugar craft flowers mini course (Sugar flowers & roses) 10th and 17th January 2017 7:00 – 9:00 pm £75 per person/ course.

Over the course of two weeks we will take you through how to make individual wired sugar flowers on this inspiring and creative mini course. This is aimed at beginners or those with a little knowledge, and we will will take you through the essential tools and equipment needed for making sugar flowers. We will teach you the techniques and processes required to create realistic sugar paste flowers.

Cupcake masterclass  – Saturday 21st January 2-4pm. £40/ person.

How to make and decorate the perfect cupcake, colouring icing and making sugar flowers.

In this class you will learn the skills and techniques behind decorating cupcakes.

We will cover how to get the perfect finish to icing your cupcakes be it with buttercream, ganache or a fondant finish. Learn some basic modelling skills and royal icing techniques as you let your creativity get carried away. Take away 6 cupcakes to wow your friends and family!

Biscuit Bouquets – 31st January 1:00 – 3:00pm  £40/ person.

In this class you will learn the skills and techniques behind using royal icing to decorate biscuits and you will make a fabulous bouquet of edible biscuit flowers.

We will cover how to use flood and line icing, and to create pretty marbled effects in sugar fondant.

Bake-off masterclass – Saturday 25th February 10- 1:30pm £50/ person.

We will have our very own bake-off workshop but this will be baking without the pressure and the best bit, you get to take ALL your goodies home with you!

We will take you through the ingredients, techniques and skills behind making the perfect sponge and you will make 3 different types. For each cake, you will use a different method, including whisking, creaming and melting. You will learn about the different raising agents and how each produces a different cake crumb so when you sit down to enjoy them all at home you will really be able to ‘taste the difference’!

Celebration Cakes Masterclass

This fun and informative cake class. Whether you want to make fun cakes for your children or stunning wedding cakes for friends, we will give you the skills and confidence to ice and decorate a cake successfully. We will also provide you with plenty of tips and techniques of the whole process from baking to finishing.

Your cakes will be ready baked on arrival so you can get stuck in with learning to assemble. We will work through the basics of splitting, filling and crumb coating a sponge cake. Working on a polystyrene dummy cake as well as your own filled sponge you will have plenty of practice and guidance in perfecting a smooth professional iced finish. We will demonstrate how to dowel and seamlessly stack your cakes.

There will be plenty of support but also creative freedom for you each to produce a masterpiece of your own, which you of course get to take home and enjoy!

Everything you need will be provided, but feel free to bring along any pictures of inspiration or ideas of a particular look or design you would like to achieve.

(A sturdy box is also provided for you to transport your finished cake home).

If you have special dietary requirements, please contact us before booking. We are sometimes able to substitute ingredients to accommodate special diets.
